At Death by Hair, we design neutral-toned, morbidly funny apparel for hairdressers, barbers, estheticians, and beauty industry survivors who have seen the absolute worst and somehow still showed up for their next client. Our pieces highlight the real horror stories: the bleach disasters, the unhinged requests, the emotional labor and all from the perspective of the artist behind the chair.
We're not just making shirts, we're building a community for the emotionally fried, creatively cursed, and chronically overbooked. Think emo-core meets beauty culture burnout, with a side of dry shampoo and darker humor.

Our Story
Angela Jenkins is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, creative visionary, and advocate for women rebuilding their lives. With over 10 years of experience running her own embroidery and screen printing business, and 3 years being a bad ass hair stylist, Angela brings her bold design aesthetic and dark humor to life through Death by Hair Apparel — a fearless brand inspired by the raw realities and inside jokes of salon culture.
After graduating from cosmetology school in May 2022, Angela set out to blend her love of art, hair, and storytelling into wearable pieces that speak to creatives and beauty professionals alike.
In addition to her apparel brand, Angela is the founder of Death by Hair: A Fresh Start, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping women in crisis regain their confidence and their beauty through free haircuts, self-care kits, and community support. Her mission is to use her skills to make a real impact — one fresh start at a time.
A proud wife of 16 years and mother of four, Angela’s journey is rooted in resilience, grit, and creativity. From helping her family run their restaurant outside Memphis, TN, to building businesses in Texas, she embodies what it means to rise, reinvent, and lead with heart.
